Favourite pole moment?
Winning Mr Pole World in 2014 was the highlight, and also winning 2016 Pole Theatre Sydney Pro Classique, but what’s even better is seeing my students nail their tricks and dream/nemesis moves – so rewarding!
Care to share any faux pas or disaster moments with us?
Most humiliating and embarrassing moment was falling on my head in the first every Mr Pole comp in 2013.
Who is your pole crush/pole idol?
Too many to name – I’m constantly inspired by so many performers and artist these days I couldn’t even name them all! Currently I do have a HUGE crush on Carmine Black though – she’s amazing!
If you could take a class with any poler (active or retired) who would it be?
My current goals are to increase flexibility and grip strength – so any of the contortionist polers like Marion and Anastasia, and power polers like Saulo would be amazing!

Pink – she’s a machine and already does crazy aerials in her concerts
What song(or genre) do you love to pole to?
Heavy metal and sexy rock
What song has pole ruined for you?
Tainted love by Marylin Manson
Do you think pole should be in the Olympics?
I’m in two minds – I’m worried it will become just another gymnastics apparatus which will take away from so many of the wonderful artistic elements of the sport. But – gymnastics is still an important facet of pole – so I guess it could go either way.
If you never discovered pole dancing what would you be doing?
Probably still body building, if I didn’t discover aerials as well

Things we can learn from you…
Do you have any pole hacks?
As a personal trainer, understanding more about the body and how to properly and safely engage muscles has proven to be a HUGE benefit in the way I teach and train. I enjoy educating my students about these things as I feel it is SO important to know what you’re doing before hurling your body up into space and into twisted and contorted positions. I encourage everyone to learn more about their own body and muscles and nutrition to help support their activity.
Any other advice you want to share?
Don’t rush your own progress – go at your own pace, set your own goals, work within your safe range of movement, stretch often (when warm), and don’t worry about other peoples progress and attitudes and opinions. Always remember the reasons that you started pole in the first place, and remember you are never too old or unfit to begin achieving your goals!
