Anytime I cant think of anything to do I always end up upside down!
Did you have a background in gym/dance before you stared pole?
I was a gymnast as a kid
Favourite pole moment?
I absolutely love a full class in week 8 all dressed up and performing together. As a teacher there’s nothing better than watching your girls (and boys!) nail a routine! When a student gets a move they’ve been struggling with forever!
Care to share any faux paux or disaster moments with us?
At northies I managed to knock open a hatch in the ceiling whilst upside down. I tried for what felt like ages to close it with my foot but it turns out stripper heels really aren’t that dextrous!. Eventually I managed to close it and I think that got me the biggest cheer of the night- go figure? Otherwise, my biggest gripe (apart from flexed feet) is the wedgie pick mid routine!

What song(or genre) do you love to pole to?
Depends on how many jelly beans I’ve had! I’m often dancing to songs I’ve never hear of in week 8 playing the magic ipod shuffle game with Chilli Rox!
What song has pole ruined for you?
I wouldn’t say ruined, but I’m a bit over pour some sugar!
Do you think pole should be in the olympics? Yes/No
NO!!! Each to their own, but I like the freedom pole allows when compared to other sports. Olympic sports have so many rules and regulations it would sterilise something that is otherwise free and inclusive.
If you never discovered pole dancing what would you be doing?
I’d be a scientist

Do you have any pole hacks?
For sweaty hands a wipe with the metho rag works best for me, shaving cream for stick (but not on the hands!) Faking a split is all about angles – smoke and mirrors!
Any other advice you want to share?
Always remember pole is meant to be fun, try not to get yourself down if you can’t do a move. Keep working at it! The longer it takes to get, the sweeter the victory!
